The presuppositions that govern the stance of our therapists at Clinique TCF. Here are the postulates and values that animate the therapists, coaches, or practitioners at Clinique TCF.

The values include: kindness, professionalism, understanding, and the creation of a safe and warm atmosphere.

For the postulates, we draw on sensorimotor psychotherapy, developed by Pat Ogden, which rests on these keys:

01

Body-mind integration

This approach considers that the body and the mind are intimately linked and that traumatic experiences affect the cognitive, emotional, and sensorimotor aspects all at once.

02

Processing trauma through the body

Rather than focusing solely on thoughts and emotions, sensorimotor psychotherapy uses the body as the main point of entry for processing trauma.

03

Unassimilated somatic responses

Unresolved physical reactions during a trauma contribute to many symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The therapy aims to address these somatic responses in order to facilitate healing.

04

Interactive regulation

The therapist plays a crucial role in helping the client regulate their dysregulated emotional and sensory states, by cultivating awareness of internal bodily sensations.

These postulates and other presuppositions of NLP and Ericksonian and Humanist Hypnosis constitute our intervention bible. We invite you to acquaint yourself with them.

Your thoughts shape your reality – NLP helps you reshape it. Transform your limiting beliefs into powerful resources through NLP. Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) rests on several presuppositions, which are basic principles or useful beliefs for understanding and working with human behaviour.

Here are some of the main presuppositions of NLP adopted by Clinique TCF:

01

The map is not the territory

Everyone perceives reality differently, according to their experiences, beliefs, and filters. The perception a person has of the world is not reality itself, but a subjective representation.

02

There are no failures, only feedback

Failure is perceived as an opportunity to learn and improve. Every experience, whether perceived

03

Every behaviour has a positive intention

Even behaviours that seem harmful have an underlying positive intention, generally linked to satisfying a need or a desire of the person.

04

Flexibility is the key to success

The more flexible a person is in their actions and choices, the more likely they are to reach their goals. Adaptability makes it possible to overcome obstacles and seize opportunities.

05

Communication is multi-level

NLP recognizes that there are several levels of communication, ranging from the verbal to the non-verbal, including gestures, expressions, and vocal tones.

Master the art of communication and reach your goals with NLP. These presuppositions are used as tools to improve communication, personal development, and problem-solving in NLP. Ericksonian Hypnosis: the art of changing in a gentle and respectful way, at your own pace. Ericksonian hypnosis, developed by Milton H. Erickson, also rests on presuppositions that guide the practice of hypnosis and the support of individuals.

Here are some of the main presuppositions of Ericksonian hypnosis adopted by Clinique TCF:

01

Everyone possesses the resources needed to heal themselves

Erickson believed that each individual has within them the resources to resolve their problems. The therapist or coach helps to access these internal resources rather than imposing external solutions.

02

Change is natural and inevitable

Change is part of human life and occurs continuously, often in a subtle and unconscious way.

03

The unconscious is a powerful resource

The unconscious is regarded as a part of the mind that contains knowledge, solutions, and resources that the individual can use to overcome their difficulties.

04

There is no resistance, only alternative solutions not yet explored: Resistance is not seen as an obstacle but rather as a sign that a person is looking for other solutions. Erickson encourages the exploration of new perspectives rather than fighting against resistance.

05

Each person is unique and must be treated as such

The Ericksonian approach is individualized, taking into account the specific experiences, beliefs, and needs of each person. The way of intervening is therefore adjusted according to the individual.

Change your perspective, change your life – Ericksonian Hypnosis guides you toward your potential. These presuppositions are at the heart of Ericksonian hypnosis and facilitate a flexible and respectful approach to the individual, fostering an environment conducive to deep and lasting change.

Humanist Hypnosis: the art of reconnecting with your true nature and your inner strength. Humanist hypnosis, developed by Olivier Lockert, differs from traditional hypnosis, in particular from Ericksonian hypnosis, by its vision centred on the individual's consciousness and inner transformation.

Here are the main presuppositions of Olivier Lockert's humanist hypnosis adopted by Clinique TCF:

01

The human being is fundamentally healthy and capable

Humanist hypnosis considers that each person possesses within them a deep nature of well-being and healing. The role of the therapist or coach is to help the person reconnect with this inner strength, with their potential for transformation.

02

Change is a process that occurs through becoming aware

The goal of humanist hypnosis is to make the person fully aware of the mechanisms that prevent them from progressing. Change is not a simple transfer from the unconscious to the conscious, but a deep awareness of oneself.

03

The unconscious is not an external force, but an integral part of the person : The unconscious is seen as a dimension of consciousness, and not as a distinct entity that would control the individual. Humanist hypnosis seeks to integrate the different parts of the being into a harmonious process.

04

The person is the expert of their own life; the therapist is a catalyst of change, not an authority: Humanist hypnosis rests on the idea that each individual knows, deep down, the answers to their problems. The therapist or coach does not position themselves as an external expert, but as a guide who helps the person access their own inner resources.

05

Healing occurs through experience and taking responsibility

The person must live their healing process in an active and conscious way. Lasting change requires the individual to become aware of their responsibilities toward their own well-being.

Humanist Hypnosis: an inner journey toward deep and lasting healing. These presuppositions show the humanist orientation, which aims at a conscious and integrated transformation of the person, emphasizing autonomy, personal fulfillment, and inner healing.

These are the presuppositions that govern the stance of our therapists. Take the first step toward your healing with complete confidence: at Clinique TCF, we support you on a deep journey within yourself, to unleash your potential and help you transform your life.
